Kerne Hus, Walliswood, Nr Dorking, Surrey

Kerne Hus is a comfortable family home offering bed & breakfast accommodation set in half an acre of pretty gardens, in the centre of the small hamlet of Walliswood, Surrey.

We are situated west of the village of Ockley, and 12 minutes by car north of Horsham. Dorking is 8 miles to the north with a good train service to London.

Kerne Hus is about 25 minutes away from Gatwick airport, Guildford and the M25 (Written directions are available on request).

We have two double bedrooms for bed and breakfast. One double bedded and one with twin beds. The double-bedded room has a washbasin. This room and the twin room share a bathroom.

Guests are welcome to use the downstairs cloakroom.

The bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities, television, radio, alarm clock and hairdryer. Both rooms are centrally heated and comfortably furnished.

Kerne Hus is an ideal centre for exploring the counties of Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire.

There are many lovely walks from the house in the beautiful Surrey countryside. Leith Hill is only a short distance away by car. Large-scale maps are available on request.

Within easy reach are National Trust properties including Clandon Park, Polesden Lacey and Winkworth Arboretum.

Guildford is half and hour away and is famous for its Cathedral, Castle and Friday Market. It is an excellent shopping centre.

Dorking is well known for its antique shops and is now famous for its vineyard - Denbies.

Further afield are the historic towns of Chichester and Arundel.

Just two minutes from Kerne Hus is Gatton Manor Hotel and Country Club. This has an 18-hole Championship golf course.

There are many places within easy reach for lunch and evening meals.

The Scarlett Arms pub is within 200 yards. Punchbowl Inn is about 1 mile. Both have excellent food with varied menus.

Cranleigh (the largest village in England) - is ten minutes by car and has a large variety of restaurants including Chinese, Indian and Italian.
