Bulworthy Cottage, Stony Cross, Bideford, Devon

Set in peaceful countryside, Bulworthy Cottage is the ideal place in Bideford North Devon to relax and unwind. Originally the cottage was three 17th century miner's cottages, with whitewashed walls, and slate roofs. These have been sympathetically restored to provide accommodation in quiet, scenic surroundings. Exposed beams, ceiling trusses and stone fireplaces paint a traditional picture inside, and the walls throughout are attractively colour-washed.

We have two letting rooms, both with en-suite shower rooms, and both on the first floor. One is a double room, and the other can be either a double, or a twin bedded room, providing a range of flexible accommodation options.

Both rooms have colour television, radio/alarm, tea and coffee making facilities and many extras to help you feel at home.

There is a comfortable guest lounge where you can relax, watch television, listen to music and browse through the many tourist books and leaflets. In cold weather, there is an open fire in the lounge.

We offer a full choice of breakfasts, and if you wish to take advantage of our home prepared evening meals, a choice of two, three or four courses is always available, together with a selection of reasonably priced wines to complement these. Wherever possible we use home-grown and local produce. The majority of our eggs come from the chickens on the neighbouring farm. Packed lunches are also available and in fine weather afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks can be served in the garden. We are happy to cater for special dietary requirements and any particular likes and dislikes.
