Kimmeridge Farmhouse, Kimmeridge, Wareham, Dorset

We are located on a gentle slope in the village of Kimmeridge, with views of Kimmeridge Bay over our farmland which stretches from the highest point in Purbeck (Swyre Head) right out to the recently designated World Heritage coastline.

Kimmeridge Farmhouse was built in the 14th Century, with additional extensions added in the late Georgian/early Victorian times.

We farm 700 acres at Kimmeridge which is part of a total of 1800 which we have farmed since 1962. It is very much a working farm with much to see, including two dairy herds, sheep, beef cattle and corn which Jerry farms in a partnership with his two brothers and his father.

Kimmeridge Farmhouse was built in the 14th century with extensions added throughout the late Georgian and early Victorian times. It is a very spacious house with large rooms that are furnished to a very high standard.

We offer three ensuite bedrooms; two double rooms, one with bathroom and one with shower, and a deluxe bedroom.

The deluxe room (featured on the left) can be either a double or twin and has a shower. All rooms have TVs, a beverage tray, clock radios and hairdriers.

Upstairs adjoining the guest rooms is a lounge area (featured on the right) where guests are invited to perhaps plan the next day's excursions using the maps and books available, to read or just sit back and relax!

A delicious home cooked breakfast of your choice is served in our traditionally furnished dining room, which overlooks our tranquil garden.

For those off season breaks the house is fully centrally heated.

At Kimmeridge Farm our land extends out to the recently announced World Heritage Coast and is only a short walk away. Our land also reaches up to Swyre Head which is the highest point in Purbeck offering panoramic views of the surrounding coast and countryside. There are many stunning walks within our farm and out of it too, including the coastal walk and also inland along the Purbeck Hills.

The Medieval village and ruins of Corfe Castle is 4 miles away and provides the link for the Steam Railway to Swanage which is classic 6 mile journey with that slight feel of nostalgia! For the main line train, the nearest railway station is at Wareham.

The beautiful sandy beach of Studland is 9 miles away and leads around to Sandbanks where a chain ferry links the Isle of Purbeck to Poole. From this point you can take a boat ride to Brownsea Island or explore Poole Harbour; the second largest natural harbour in the world.

Travelling westwards towards Dorchester there is Monkey World (8 miles) and The Bovington Tank Museum (9 miles).
