The Bridge House offers fabulous accommodation and delicious food in a Grade II Listed Georgian townhouse, nestled in the charming town market of Bridport. Based halfway between Exeter and Bournemouth, we are in the ideal location for exploring all that the area has to offer.
Our wonderful townhouse offers an array of eclectic rooms to choose from which seamlessly blend modern and traditional styles. Each room offers a unique character and has been elegantly furnished with local antiques. From a cosy attic room to a lavish four-poster room, we have something for everyone.
All the rooms include en suites, a flat-screen TV, luxurious Egyptian cotton bed, fluffy towelling bath robes, an extensive hospitality tray, complimentary Text taken from thebandbdirectory.co.uk eco-friendly toiletries, a Nespresso machine, irons, ironing boards and even an umbrella for a rainy day.
You can savour a delicious breakfast to set you up for a day of sightseeing. From Salmon with hollandaise on sourdough with poached egg to homemade bubble & squeak with crispy bacon, we have something for all taste buds. We also have a dresser full with fresh fruit, juices, freshly baked pastries and cereals, homemade marmalade and jam.
Regular pop-up food events also make a regular appearance throughout the summer months in The Potting Shed Garden Bar. Set within our charming walled garden which offers a covered outdoor dining area, the changing menus use brilliant local produce. Teas, coffees, cakes and ice cream are served daily, whilst on Wednesday we serve plant-based pizzas. Tuck into a hearty burger on a Thursday or enjoy some wonderful Ramen and Chinese noodles on a Friday. On Saturdays we serve either Indian dishes, burgers or pizzas.
Enjoy a tipple at the Dark Bear Bar, a characterful space offering amazing award-winning cocktails and a stunning collection of over 200 rums.
This historic market town of Bridport is only a couple of miles from the Jurassic Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town hosts popular markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays, whilst live music, comedy and theatre is available most nights of the week. Lots of picturesque walks through lush countryside can be enjoyed on the edge of Bridport and West Bay. Excellent attractions to visit include:
