Gringley Hall is a high quality licensed bed & breakfast/guesthouse establishment situated in one of the most picturesque villages in North Nottinghamshire, close to Clumber Park, Sherwood Forest and The Dukeries. The Hall, built in the early 1800's by the Duke of Portland, was also a childrens convalescent home in the first part of the 1900's, the story of which is delightfully described in the book 'Lemon Curd and Grandfather's Whiskers' by John Clubley. Load Brook Farm bed & breakfast was a row of farm worker's cottages dating back to the 18th century. In 1974 it was renovated into a large family house where B&B accommodation has been provided for the last 12 years. The hamlet of Load Brook is situated in the beautiful Peak District countryside on the Yorkshire/Derbyshire border to the west of Sheffield. Despite being only 6 miles from Sheffield city centre, its peaceful rural setting makes it the perfect location for people visiting the area who prefer an out of town location. Access to the Bed & Breakfast accommodation is via its own front door and staircase which ensures privacy at all times. Guests are given a front door key which allows them to come and go as they please. All the rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished in a traditional style with king-size beds in the double rooms.
