The Bank House offers superb Highland bed and breakfast accommodation located in the pretty coastal town of Dornoch in Sutherland. Our 1893 built town house has been modernised and provide afforded accommodation in the town centre. Most rooms have very high ceilings with fine cornices. The windows are large, making all the rooms very bright. Three rooms can either have super king double bed or two single bed format and have comfortable rocking chairs. Four rooms have Jacuzzi or whirlpool baths, three have a fridge. Centrally heated, all have TV with a satellite sports channel. We include a complimentary tea/coffee tray, soap, bath/shower gel and shampoo. Each room has a hair drier. Towels are large and high quality. Free wireless internet access is available in the rooms and throughout the building. Breakfast is served in our dining room and good food is also available at many nearby hotels, restaurants and cafés. Private parking for three cars is available in the garden grounds, which include a patio area with fish pond. Residents may use the garden table and chairs here to enjoy the surroundings. The Bank House is situated just a few yards from the birthplace of famous golf course designer Donald Ross and Dornoch Cathedral, which has a long and chequered history and is now restored to be a fine 'Grade A Listed' building with a strong following from the community. Our family run Highland guest house is a great base for exploring the area. The upper floor accommodation consists of one twin en suite room, two double en suite rooms and one single en suite room. The lower floor accommodation comprises of one twin en suite room and one double en suite room, in addition to the dining room and kitchen. In our Dining Room, which is laid out in tables for two, enjoy our hearty breakfasts. We endeavour to provide you with superb food, using wherever possible the finest of local produce. Generous helpings of sausage, bacon, eggs and black pudding, will set you up each day that you are with us. It is our aim to provide our guests with the very best of cuisine and our multi choice breakfast menu should satisfy the most discerning of palates. We also serve scrambled eggs and smoked salmon as a substitute. Outside, there is a private car park for the exclusive use of our guests.
