Velindre is a large 17th century house ½ a mile from Llandovery town on the Brecon road, just 200 yards off the A40 yet surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. The Brecon Beacons National Park is on the doorstep of Llandovery, to the South, and the magnificent Cambrian Mountains lie just to the North.
Our Victorian five bedroom house is quietly situated within large gardens and benefits from its own paddock. A warm welcome is guaranteed!
Bedroom 1 is a Family Room for 4-5 guests.
Bedroom 2 is a Double Room for 3-4 guests.
Bedroom 3 is a Twin room for 2-3 guests.
Our bedrooms are en suite, except our Family Room, which has a private bathroom.
Llandovery is a small market town, which the Drovers used hundreds of years ago. The surroundings offer many places of beauty and interest. The Brecon Beacons National Park lies just to the south of the town and the stunning Upper Towy Valley and Cambrian Mountains to the north.
You can also visit the Dinas Bird Reserve, home of the Red Kite; the village of Myddfai, famed for the ancient herbal medicines of The Physicians of Myddfai; Twm Sion Catti's Cave, hideout of an outlaw known as the Welsh Robin Hood; Cynghory Viaduct; Junction Pool and many more sites of interest within easy reach of Velindre. Further afield you will find the lovely sandy beaches of Pembrokeshire, The Gower, and the West Coast of Wales.
A 6-berth caravan is also available at £140 per week.
