There are plenty of local attractions for you to go and see, or just relax on one of the beautiful beaches to be found all along this stretch of coast.
Llygad Yr Haul is within easy reach of Cardigan Boat Club and the 18 hole Cardigan Golf Course with it’s stunning views across the estuary and the sea beyond.
There are numerous local visitor attractions including the Rainforest Centre with it’s beautiful butterflies, the Fire & Steam engine Museum, Wild West quad bikes and, Cilgerran wildlife centre.
Poppit sand, a beautiful expanse of sandy beach, is approximately six miles by road and can be easily reached on the far shore by crossing the Teifi over the bridge in Cardigan town and by passing through St. Dogmaels with its ancient ruined Abbey. Here the famous Pembrokeshire coastal path begins where you can walk a small part, or all, of the 180 miles of stunning, magnificent and spectacular views of the coastline, finishing at Amroth on the Southern Coast.
A real treat is a visit to Rhos Y Gilwen which hosts live performances of world class performers of classical music. During the summer months there are open air performances of Shakespeare plays and concerts at St, Dogmaels Abbey and Cilgerran Castle where you could enjoy a picnic at the same time. Once a year in the summer there is a parade of horses through Cardigan streets of every possible breed competing for show prizes, this event is known as Barley Saturday.
