The Park Hotel, Waunllywd, Nr Abergavenny, Monmouthshire

The Park Hotel is situated in the village of Waunllywd 1 mile south of the town of Ebbw Vale. Situated in its own grounds, the hotel was built in the 1899 by local builder John Bohanna Yendoll and has maintained its elegant façade and retained the style and décor of the Victorian fashion. The Park hotel offers considerable charm and comfort with all the amenities of a modern hotel.

We are 2 minutes from the new rail station Ebbw Vale Parkway, trains run every hour.

There are nine en-suite bedrooms, two of which are decorated in Victorian style. All have tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, telephone, trouser press, hair dryer and clock radios.

The recently renovated main bar area is a popular watering hole for locals as well as regular visitors. You can take morning coffee or afternoon tea in the lobby with its Chesterfield suites, or sample the delights of the famous local Brains beer in the newly decorated lounge bar, before taking lunch or dinner in 'Bohannas' conservatory restaurant.

The Park Hotel has become highly acclaimed within the Valleys for its lunchtime and evening meals. In the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the popular Conservatory restaurant, Andy the Park’s chef owner has personally created a menu of traditional dishes with a contemporary twist for you to enjoy. Desert are homemade and extremely tempting.

Sunday lunch is an institution at the hotel and early reservations are advisable.
