Ael y Bryn is graded as a five star bed and breakfast establishment with Visit Wales. We offer you spacious and comfortable, ensuite, ground floor accommodation. We can also provide evening meals based on fine home cooking.

Ael y Bryn is situated between Cardigan and Newport (half a mile from the village of Eglwyswrw) in a peaceful rural part of North Pembrokeshire, with spectacular panoramic views to the South and West of the Preseli Hills and Carn Ingli. We are 6 miles from Cardigan, 12 miles from Fishguard, and 4 miles from the coastal path.

Ael y Bryn is newly converted from disused agricultural buildings originally constructed in 1942. Starting with the original solid brick structure, which we first saw back in 2000, we have converted it into a spacious family home with the aim of maximising light and space. Its main features include:

An open wood-beamed lounge/music room

An open wood-beamed dining room with large dining table and baronial style wrought iron chandeliers

A large inner courtyard with a pond, fountains and potted plants, and is a very peaceful area and a unique feature designed within the house.

A large wildlife pond and garden.

A spacious wooden-beamed conservatory overlooking the wildlife pond and the Preseli hills beyond.

A library with a wide selection of books to suit most tastes.

We have two large luxury ground floor twin/double bedrooms, each with ensuite facilities. The bathroooms are light and spacious; each has a bath and a separate large shower. The showers benefit from having plenty of mains-pressure hot water. We also provide towelled bathrobes.

Both bedrooms are fully fitted and include ample wardrobe and drawer space, and a dressing table with independent reading light. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. Each room has a digital radio alarm clock, and a combined television/DVD player.

The beds in both bedrooms can be configured as either twin single beds or as a super-king size bed, depending on your preference, to give an added sense of luxury.

Ael y Bryn is not only conveniently situated for the coastal path, the Preseli hills, and countryside activities, but also for those who wish to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the Pembrokeshire countryside.

We welcome cyclists and walkers - we have safe storage and space for drying out wet clothes, bags etc.

We have ample parking on a tarmac drive, with a paved level access to the front door.
