Come to The Croft and you will stay in a large family house set in the picturesque village of Haseley Knob. Here you will immediately be impressed by the friendly family atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. Why stay in a large impersonal hotel when you can get most of the same comforts but with added personal touches? The Croft is ideal for both the overnight business stay or as a holiday centre from which to explore the Midlands. All the rooms are centrally heated with individual room temperature control and are decorated to a very high standard. Most bedrooms have ensuite shower, washbasin, and toilet facilities. All have colour TV, easy chairs, bedside lights, radio alarm clock, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. The two ensuite ground floor bedrooms, good for those who cannot climb stairs, have French windows which are ideal for pets. Shoe cleaning equipment, ironing facilities and other requisites are available on request. A cot and high chair can be provided. In the evening you may make use of the Residents' Lounge with Sky TV or hi-fi background music of your choice whilst you read the large supply of tourist information and plan the next day's visits. If you would like help just ask - we try to keep up to date with events in the area. There is a large number of good pubs/restaurants nearby catering for all tastes and diets so we rarely serve evening meals these days. We can recommend about ten places within a few minutes drive and will be pleased to help you choose. Breakfast can be served early for keen business guests or up to 9am for 'slow starters'. All breakfasts, served in the Conservatory Dining Room overlooking the gardens, are individually cooked and can be varied from a simple fruit juice and toast to a four course English Breakfast with all the extras. A pay phone is provided which can be moved to your bedroom for privacy. We can send/receive your fax transmissions or photocopy for a small extra charge. Top House Farm is an attractive Georgian Grade 2 listed house situated in the beautiful conservation village of Shenton, on the edge of the Battle of Bosworth. The battlefield Centre is a pleasant 20 minutes walk away. There is an antique centre and tearooms in the village. Other places of interest include Twycross Zoo, Donington and Mallory Park racing circuits, Drayton Manor Amusement Park, Stoney Cove diving centre, Bosworth Water Park, the National Forest with several visitor centres and the NEC East Midland and Birmginham Airports are only 35 minutes drive away (parking and transport to airports can be arranged). The accommodation is spacious and comfortable. The guest rooms - 1 twin and 1 double have TV, tea making facilities, hair driers, and many books and games. The double room has an en-suite bathroom and a king-size bed, and the twin room has a private bathroom. The large sitting/dining room is comfortable and decorated to a high standard. If you require it, we can serve you tea and biscuits here when you arrive, and this is where you will have your breakfast – wither a full cooked English or a lighter meal of toast and fruit etc. As much as possible we serve local produce – you may even go home with a pack of our own home produced lamb or beef, or a slice of hand-made Leicestershire cheese that our son makes from the milk of his herd of Holstein Friesian cows in the nest village. There is ample off-road parking and many beautiful places to walk. You are welcome to sit in our beautiful garden. With a glorious copper beech tree and room for croquet, or the odd game of rounder’s, there is something to please everybody. There are numerous places to eat within two miles of Shenton; ranging from “pub grub” through to Italian, Indian, Chinese and Lakeside to high class restaurant – we have great fun testing them all for you!
