The house was once the home of Professor Charles Wyville Thomson, a respected oceanographer who is credited with being the first person to chart all seven seas. Bonsyde House Hotel offers guests a choice of accommodation in eight stylish bedrooms, from singles to family rooms for four people. There are also four modern studio apartments accommodating four people in two bedrooms. All of the rooms have en-suite facilities, TV, direct dial telephones and tea/coffee tray. In addition the apartments have contemporary-styled living areas and fully equipped kitchens. Many of the rooms are much more spacious than those in modern hotels, reflecting the country house background of the Bonsyde House Hotel. All rooms have been individually and carefully decorated to a high standard so that you can be assured of comfortable accommodation and attractive surroundings throughout the hotel. One of the hotel's outstanding features is the Conservatory Restaurant, which gives diners the opportunity to relax over a meal while enjoying marvellous views over Linlithgow and its famous Palace. Our policy allows dogs in guest rooms, but not in public areas such as the bar and restaurant (except for guide dogs,of course). Our Head Chef and his team have devised both an a la carte and fixed price menu to suit all tastes, with dishes based on fresh local Scottish produce a speciality.
