Roseland is in the hamlet of Clifton, 1 mile south of Kempsey, 1 mile north of Severn Stoke. It is a spacious country home with huge windows taking full advantage of the sun and panoramic views of the Malvern Hills. On a clear day British Camp and the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Beacons are easily seen. The foreground view is made up of Dripshill Wood in the mid-distance, with Clevelode and Rhydd closer on the banks of the river Severn.
