The Samuel Fox at Bradwell in the picturesque Hope Valley is an AA five star country inn with an award winning restaurant serving contemporary British and European food. The restaurant is recommended in the Michelin Guide; Good Food Guide (cooking score 4); the AA Restaurant guide (two Rosettes); and Hardenís Best UK Restaurants Guide (score 11/15).

The Inn has four tastefully appointed en suite double rooms and while its location at the heart of the Peak District National Park, an area rich in natural beauty, history and heritage, makes it a great base for those wishing to explore the Peak Districtís stunning countryside, pretty villages and historic buildings itís just a 15 mile bus ride into the city of Sheffield. Whether you are looking for an overnight stay; weekend break; Christmas or New Year package; or a longer holiday the Samuel Fox is sure to delight.

The linked restaurant and bar areas are tastefully decorated in contemporary style and are enhanced by the south facing large windows that overlook a terrace with outside seating and offer fine views over the glorious local landscape. In the bar there are always local real ales on tap and 14 of the 40 wines stocked are available by the glass. Since October 2012 the Samuel Fox has been in the ownership of award-winning chef James Duckett, whose assured cooking benefits from many yearsí experience in the kitchens of Michelin starred fine dining restaurants in the UK and internationally. He serves modern European and British cuisine, including some pub classics, prepared using the finest of fresh local produce. Whether you opt for his seven course tasting menu with optional wine flight or, at the other extreme, choose a blackboard special at the bar, your taste buds will be in for a treat!

The Chatsworth Estate, Haddon Hall, Peveril Castle and many other English Heritage and National Trust sites, as well as the beautiful villages of Castleton, Bakewell, Matlock and the larger spa town of Buxton with its famous waters and opera house are all within easy reach. Guests may also wish to explore the nearby wild beauty and desolate moorland of Kinder Scout, the show caves of Castleton and the reservoirs and dams of the beautiful Derwent Valley. The Peak National Park offers visitors a wealth of possibilities, from serious hill walking, through sedate strolls along riverside paths to exploration of historical houses and charming villages.
