The Plough Inn offers comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation in Hathersage, Derbyshire. We have a total of eight B&B bedrooms that are available for those wishing to linger a while at The Plough. We are close to many lovely towns and villages such as Eyam, Castleton and Hope Valley, Sheffield is also only a half hour drive away.
All of the B&B bedrooms are fully en suite with either a bath or shower and include:
Flat screen TV.
Tea and coffee making facilities.
Complimentary Hilden Mineral Water and toiletries.
We also have an ironing board, iron and sewing kit available on request.
In our five luxury bedrooms across the cobbled courtyard in 'September Cottage' and the 'Old Barn' the bedrooms offer a full en suite bathroom and sitting area. Restored using local materials, leaving exposed beams and brickwork, they offer every comfort that discerning guests would expect. Some of the rooms have restricted views due to the nature of the building. But with a super king bed that can be separated into two singles for your convenience, you are assured of a good night’s rest.
Dogs are permitted in public places and in our rooms. However there is a charge of £15.00 per dog per night with a maximum of two dogs permitted in any room at any time.
As well as our guest rooms, we also have a pair of shepherds huts available. A lovely place to stay at any time of year.
If you are looking for outside seating we have two other areas which are also popular; our courtyard which is a favourite on those summers evening or the beer garden, ideally situated on the grassy area below our sun terrace, adjacent to Highlow Brook where you can listen to the sounds of the running water.
Our head chef Robert Navarro has been with us for the past eight years and he takes great pride in his seasonal menu changes. All our food is cooked by our dedicated team of chefs, fresh and cooked to order. Should you have specific dietary requirements, please inform a member of our team who will be able to assist you. Whilst we do not serve 'fast food', we do aim to serve food as quickly as possible.
Our 16th Century inn is situated in nine acres of its own private land which gently slope towards the banks of the River Derwent.
