The Star Inn 1744 is a gastropub with rooms. It can be found in the pretty Leicestershire village of Thrussington, less than a 30 minute drive to Melton Mowbray and the city of Leicester. The pub has been offering travellers a place to rest, replenish and relax for over 250 years. Whether you are staying for lunch, a drink or overnight we look forward to welcoming you.
The guest rooms at our country pub have been tastefully decorated and furnished. They have a luxurious feel whilst still retaining much charm and character of the building. We have 9 rooms available, all of which include:

Guests have a choice of king, twin, double and single rooms. They all have en suite facilities with complementary toiletries. We also have The Seagrave Suite, a recently refurbished luxurious Mini Suite, perfect for a honeymoon receipt and or special occasion.
We take pride in serving a wide range of superb quality, exuberant home cooked dishes. Where possible, we source all our produce from quality local suppliers and only use the freshest ingredients. Whether you are joining us for breakfast, lunch, an evening meal or for one of our themed nights, we have a wide range of exquisite meals to choose from on all of our menus.
Our country pub can be found just off the Old Fosse Way, which is located north of Leicester, situated by the River Wreak. You are free to enjoy our countryside pub, staying by the warm fire in winter or exploring outside in the sunshine.
