Home Farm is a 17th Century farm house that offers homely guest accommodation at Stalling Busk near Askrigg & Leyburn in North Yorkshire.
Our guest house has been traditionally refurbished with antique furniture and fittings, downstairs in English Oak and upstairs in Antique Pine; Victorian brass beds and patchwork quilts, collections of Victorian shaving mugs, crewel and embroidery work, and many "Bits and Bobs" of bygone years. Guests find the atmosphere homely and welcoming.
We make our own bread and all the meals are prepared on our traditional Aga. Our specialities include beef from our own farm, together with locally reared lamb, pork, poultry, and game in season; even the eggs are home produced. Our favourite puddings such as Treacle Pudding, Ginger Pear Pudding and Plum Lattice Tart are also all home made.
The area surrounding the lake is a conservation area for wild flowers and wildlife, with wild deer frequenting the fields and hedges. Our guest accommodation is situated approximately 4 miles from Hawes and 15 miles from Leyburn, off the A684, in the small hamlet of Stalling Busk in Wensleydale, overlooking Lake Semerwater.
