The Blue Lion in Leyburn, North Yorkshire, offers wonderful guesthouse accommodation in a quintessential English coaching inn with all the modern comforts expected of high quality accommodation.
Whatever you require of the Blue Lion, be it real ale and food at the bar to candlelit fine dining and beautiful accommodation you can be sure that your stay will be homely, welcoming and full of friendly character.
Each room has its own unique design; it might take a couple of visits before you can decide on your favourite!
The rooms are split between the main house and the converted stables, which once housed the horses for travelling traders through Wensleydale. Some of which have exposed beams and all have either an en suite bathroom or shower room, with in-room tea and coffee facilities and are decorated with comfortable country furnishings for a “get away from it all” relaxing stay.
You’ll be spoilt for choice by the Blue Lion’s freshly prepared seasonal menu that sources the best Yorkshire produce to be found – it’s no wonder we’ve won the Dining Pub of the Year Award three times.
The real ale bar with its log fire fueled cosy atmosphere, large sweeping settles and sturdy oak tables provides an English pub setting for you to sit back, relax and take in our famous cuisine which is laid bare on our chalked up menu boards ready for your taste buds to be tantalised.
The Blue Lion is renowned for a fantastic range of hand-pulled unique guest ales to the more recognisable names from the Black Sheep Brewery from nearby Masham.
The jewel in the crown of the Blue Lion Inn is the landscape that surrounds it. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is one of the most breath taking areas of Northern England. With its rolling green hills, iconic stone walls and fabulous market towns you’ll wish you had booked a longer stay.
