Westwood - The B&B with a view offers charming guest accommodation on the outskirts of the village of Great Broughton and is nestled on the edge of the National Park in the gorgeous Western Lake District. Our guest-friendly Cumbrian B&B near Cockermouth boasts stunning views across a romantic old three-arched bridge, over the River Derwent in the valley to the wonderful old church of St. Bridget’s and the Lake District Mountains. We truly are a haven for peace and relaxation in a magical location.
Our peaceful B&B with a view has 2 beautifully furnished double bedrooms available, offering the most comfortable and relaxing experience possible. Cottage Garden is located next to the cottage garden area and comes with a super king-size bed and en suite shower room. Blue Willow has a comfy king-size bed and a lovely en suite wet room.
Both rooms come with excellent facilities, including tea and coffee making facilities, a flat-screen TV with Freeview, a hair dryer, quality Christy towels and Spa Works toiletries. We use high quality cotton bedding and anti-allergy duvets and pillows, perfect for a restful night’s sleep. Each room also has use of an individual mini-fridge in the cosy reading room.
You can relax and unwind in the spacious lounge which offers breathtaking views of the Lake District mountains, the River Derwent and the Gem Town of Cockermouth. As well as a TV there is a selection of books and games available. A great spot for an afternoon coffee whilst savouring the views over the valley and mountains and our Japanese and Zen garden. Sun-loungers are also available.
We offer a fabulous breakfast to give you the perfect start to the day. From English breakfast to a continental breakfast, we have something for everyone. Breakfast is accompanied by Fairtrade teas, organic infusions or freshly ground coffee. Our English breakfast includes award-winning Cumberland sausage, bacon and black pudding from Lindsays of Cockermouth, whilst with our continental, you can mix and match to suit your taste. Breakfast is served in our dining area or on the decking, both wonderful places for admiring the view whilst you are tucking into some delicious food.
