The Rowan Tree Country Hotel is in a stunning part of Loch Alvie and offers a friendly and cosy place to stay whilst visiting this beautiful part of Scotland. Whether you are staying for a short break or something longer, we look forward to welcoming you. We are a family-run hotel, that is proud to offer comfortable and homely accommodation along with a delightful restaurant that is open to both residents and non-residents. There is no mistaking that you are in the heart of the glorious Scottish Highlands yet you could be excused for thinking that you were in your own little private country home for a while.
We have a choice of 12 guest rooms available comprising of 1 super-king, 3 kings, 2 twin rooms, 5 doubles and 1 single room. All of which have been decorated and furnished to the highest of standards. Room amenities include:
Egyptian cotton linen.
Flat-screen TV.
Refreshment tray with tea and coffee.
Hairdryer.
Luxurious goose down feather duvets and pillows.
Breakfast is included within the room rate, with a variety of options to choose from, ensuring you start the day right. We have a selection of traditional Scottish breakfast items, including our famous Rowan Tree porridge with double cream & Drambuie Text taken from thebandbdirectory.co.uk or the lighter options of fresh fruit & yoghurts. Our award-winning restaurant is a relaxed & casual affair, served from 6 pm to 8.30 pm each evening. As you'd expect, your meal is individually prepared for you by us using only the freshest, principally Scottish, ingredients.
In a delightful rural location overlooking Loch Alvie, which is only a short walk away. The hotel is a great base for exploring the surrounding area and the popular destination of Aviemore is a 3-mile drive north, in the heart of the scenically stunning Cairngorms National Park. On our doorstep lie all the attractions for which the Cairngorm Highlands of Scotland and especially, the Aviemore area, are rightly famous. Our easy to reach, central location means that you don't spend hours at the wheel, allowing you to pack more into your day.
