The Rose Cottage was formally a traditional Sussex country pub circa 1680, sadly no longer trading. Nestled in the picturesque Sussex Downs National Park, today we provide self catering accommodation within the charming village of Alcistion.
Our Rooms
Beacon View has a double bed, large en suite facilities, open plan kitchen/diner and Sofa-bed for up to 2 people if required.
The Loft is on the first floor and includes a bedroom with double bed, an open plan kitchen/living room, including sofa-bed and a separate bathroom with shower.
The Parlour Room comprises of king size bed and en-suite shower room, there is also a large sofa-bed and a microwave.
Hikers Rest 1 provides budget accommodation within a wooden cabin. It has a double bedroom with modern en suite shower room.

The immediate area is ideal for walking with a direct route up on to the Sussex Downs and the villages of Alfriston and Firle nearby, but there are also many interesting attractions and towns nearby including Seven Sisters Country Park, Glyndebourne Opera House, The Historic Town of Lewes, Michelham Priory and Herstmonceux
Castle.
Rates: From £70 per room per night based on 2 people sharing.
Full English breakfast available by prior arrangement £10 per person.
