Kota Restaurant with Rooms offers award-winning accommodation as well as a stunning restaurant in Porthleven, Cornwall. Our restaurant and rooms are in a great location, on the harbour head. It is one of the best-kept secrets in the south-west and is a fantastic place to visit, whether you are joining us for dinner, lunch or an overnight stay.
Our guest rooms are finished to a very high standard and offer comfortable and relaxing accommodation to solo travellers, couples and families. All the rooms are en suite and include king size beds. Our accommodation comprises of:

Breakfast is served to our B&B guests in Kota or our sister restaurant Kota Kai, just 50 yards along the harbour head. The home smoked salmon at breakfast is not to be missed.
Our pride and passion is our Kota Restaurant. The main man here at Kota & Kota Kai is Chef Jude Kereama, who has just been awarded “Best Chef” by the Trencherman's Guide Awards 2019. Having won awards in both Auckland and London before heading to Porthleven to open Kota with his wife Jane, Jude’s dishes are individual and exciting, taking inspiration from his half Maori and half Chinese Malay origin.
Porthleven exudes Cornish charm and tradition with arguably the most impressive harbour in Cornwall, being constructed during Napoleonic times. Around Porthleven harbour, there are a wide range of historic buildings including many fishermen’s cottages and net lofts. The white painted buildings which catch the light reflecting off the calm water in the inner harbour, the temperate climate of the area and the fresh air coming in from the Atlantic all combine to enhance the relaxing atmosphere of Porthleven.
