The Chocolate Box Hotel offers stunning bed and breakfast accommodation within touching distance of the beach in the beautiful Dorset town of Bournemouth. Our B&B boasts well appointed rooms and a warm welcome whether you are passing through or with us for a longer stay.
This was originally a Victorian ‘Gentleman’s Residence’, in the 1890’s it was the family home of Sir Dan Godfrey, the founder of Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Today it is a 4 star Bed & Breakfast but retains many of its period features which are complemented by contemporary additions. The buildings history means no two rooms are the same but we think that adds to the charm.
We offer a variety of rooms: the deluxe doubles have all the facilities of a standard double but a slightly bigger room Text taken from thebandbdirectory.co.uk and with a king size bed, whilst our double bedrooms boast comfortable surroundings with en suite shower, flat screen digital TV with freeview, hospitality tray and free wireless internet access. We also have family rooms which are lovely and big and contain en suite shower, double bed and 2 single beds, for 2 adults and 2 children under 16.
Breakfast is included in the tariff, our chef will cook your full English breakfast to order ensuring that it arrives hot and fresh. We also offer lighter and vegetarian options. If you have special dietary requirements please advise us before you stay. We make sure we have soya milk, gluten free bread & diabetic jam available.
The guest accommodation is positioned on Bournemouth’s most popular West Cliff. Once you are here you can park the car and walk to the shops, beach and Bournemouth International Centre, all of which are less that 5 minutes away on foot.
When you visit Bournemouth, there are certain attractions and areas of beauty you will definitely not want to forget. Cultural events happen all year in Bournemouth, from the Air Festival, Beach carnivals and lively theatre, comedy & opera performances mainly performed in the Bournemouth Pavilion.
