Worth House is a beloved bed and breakfast run by Sarah and her three daughters, who call it both their home and their business. The family made the move to Somerset in late 2014 when Sarah stumbled upon the then-outdated Worth House for sale. Captivated by its potential and charmed by a stunning willow tree in the backyard, Sarah embarked on a rapid renovation, transforming it within four months to welcome guests by Easter 2015. This project of passion continues to evolve, balancing the demands of both a family home and a flourishing business.
Sarah's journey before Worth House was rich and varied. With a background in music, she studied double bass at the Royal Academy of Music but chose not to pursue a music career. Her career path took her to the Corporate Marketing team of Goldman Sachs's pan-European Equity sales desk in London.
However, craving a change from the London hustle, Sarah made a life-altering decision to move to Mallorca in 2002. There, she spent over a decade in the picturesque town of Soller, nestled in the Tramuntana mountains, where she managed a holiday property and property management business.
The pull of a new challenge and a desire to prioritise her daughters' education brought Sarah back to the UK in 2014, where she found and fell in love with Worth House.
The Wells area, where Worth House is situated, is rich with attractions for visitors. The locale boasts historical sites like the stunning Medieval Cathedral, the Bishop’s Palace, Glastonbury Tor, Cheddar Gorge, and Wookey Hole. City experiences are just a 45-minute drive away, with Bath and Bristol offering urban adventures.
